Zanre's is goodbut the Bervie Chipper (Inverbervie, just south of Stonehaven) is the best.

Zanres in Mintlaw was the bollocks. Best thing on the menu was the rice crispy burger, aka chicken in a bun supper.
My iPhone wanted to auto-correct this to "chicken in a bin". Clearly it's not forgotten the trip to the chip shop in Elgin...
