Redundant technology
Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?
Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

Vinyl
I still buy records and am getting annoyed that fewer and fewer releases are pressed to wax. I'm a DJ, how else am I meant to play new music when all these hip-hop acts that claim to 'keep it real' and 'true to the game' don't even have any consideration for DJs who also want to keep hip-hop in the way it was invented, using two turntables and maybe even the odd microphone? This is a rant I'm aware, on a subject I'm sure very few people care about (and those who do care about vinyl may have an aversion to, nay hatred of, the complete destruction of vinyl that accompanies turntablism). Still, I enjoy it. And take care of my records too, no less!
I also wish the word "shan't" would come back into fashion.

I concur
I DJ and haven't made the (somewhat inevitable) move to Pioneer CDJs. The last time I played out I had to take my own Technics to the venue.

I use shan't all the time.
My mum took the piss out of me for it, and said it wasn't a real word. I had to show her the entry in Swann's to prove it was, although, until I did look it up in Swann's, I didn't realise it is old fashioned.

mmmm... vinyl...
Just has a feel to it. caressing the covers, flicking thru your collection, bright covers, the smoothness as it rotates, the red light of the pitch. I love my technics and when my kids are older amd have grandkids i will get them back out with all the boxes of records and show them my passion.
Truth of it is traditional club DJing is dying off - it's all about sequencing your own stuff these days, using controllers, etc. Thats not what i liked about it.
