we get them here too in spain..
I have anti mossy pillows - about 3 plug in thingys, i dont open windows. the walls and ceieling get an inspection before i sleep and a tin of insectiside at teh side of my bed.

The biting is bad, but their buzzing is worse. Very distinct high pitch which goes through me. Having one buzz right past your ear just at the point of orgasm really fucks up your day.

I found when i was in china - if you put air con on very cold ~ 17*C it makes them go dormant... i remember seeing one on my wall - I could even stroke it and it wouldnt move. it was just too cold.

the insects are eating well here, too. i've got about a dozen horsefly bites, they itch like fuck!
