If you can't fix it with a hammer and a roll of duck tape, it's not worth fixing at all, my old mate said minutes before that nasty business with the hammer and a roll of duck tape. Tell us of McGyver-like repairs and whether they were a brilliant success or a health and safety nightmare.

he's spent about three years building up to it by cunningly seeming to be a normal b3tan.
I have mixed opinions about this sugru stuff though. A commercially available, universally applicable method for bodging things together with whatever you have handy? The contradictions...my mind...

I used to see that regularly in Heath Robinson's stuff. Always wondered what it was. Found out one day. Cried. Nothing so vile has passed my lips since I sucked cock in the Advanced Syphilis Division of the Extremely Foreign Legion for a living.

Just in air, you don't need to bake it or anything.
I picked up a pack myself when I heard of it. Most of it is still sat in a drawer, but the one use I have found for it - affixing two USB leads plugged into the back of my PC to that they hang from the front/side of the case - was worth the cost of the packet.

... have you ever tried something called "polymorph"?
It's a plastic that looks and feels a bit like white nylon at room temperature - hard but flexible. However it fuses at about 70'C so you can "melt" it in hot water and make little plastic pieces out of it. It's truly amazing and occasionally very useful. A bit like this stuff by the sound of things.

.. will get you a small bag and it's very handy to have in.
Especially if you have small girls who are forever breaking/losing small plastic parts for their toys.
I've made dummys for dolls, handles for small tools, brackets for fridge doors, all sorts of stuff
My 5-year old had her hair cut by about 4 inches the other week. I used some of this stuff to make a couple of little paintbrushes from her hair & she was delighted with them.

i've used it for everything from nice moulded handles on those slippy metal scalpels to little feet for a rattly printer. I have no connection with the producers of this product and despise the spammers as much as any of you sick demented freaks that i respect so much. Now give me some of that popcorn.
i KNEW i should have put this in toptips instead...
