It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

The HobbitI know, uber-geeky, but I was given a copy when I was 7 and read all of Tolkien's work afterward. Gave me an appreciation of fantasy and imagination, and now 26 years later I have a tenuous grasp on the real world at the best of times, and am a borderline alcoholic.

I was at an all-girls convent schoolThe Hobbit was the set text for the first year along with Animal Farm.
