My books travelled with me to Canada
or rather they followed me very slowly. They cost serious money to ship, as does everything, but they ARE EVERYTHING.
I nearly stabbed people who suggested I leave my books behind, what the hell is the matter with these eejits?

I was about to retort that such gems as
Dr Brewer's Guide to Science, which was published back in 1854 wouldn't be available to me. And there it is, in google books. Hmmmph.
Still, it's just nicer to have the real thing which pretty much goes for much of my collection of battered old books and interesting stuff found in boot sales and shopsofshite.
