Books
We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

I went off Iain Banks after "The Business"
I even read "Raw Spirit" to get me back into it (he was 1 of my faves & I have all his books). My fave of his is "Complicity" - a hard book to read when you can relate to a lot of it. Worst - "Feersum Enjin", just fucking hard to read and James Joyce did it better.
Of course if that Iain M Banks fella wants to churn out a Culture-based Space opera book every now and then I'm pretty sure I could bring myself to read it.
