Books
We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

For fantasy fans
I highly recommend Clive Barker's Imajica. It's fabulous, and a little bit dirty in places which is also a bonus.

Good choice!
I found that time would fly by, when I was reading that. Weaveworld was also excellent.
Come to think of it, anything by Clive Barker is worth a read (got to love Rawhead Rex!).

I presume
the question you are trying to ask is if I read it all by myself using my very own eyes, to which the answer would be "yes".
If you are really asking me if I read it of my "own accord" (i.e. voluntarily) then I can safely confirm that yes, nobody forced me to read Imajica.

Clive Barker's Sex Writing is not even to QOTW standard if 'Everville' is anything to go by.

In his defence,
I'm not sure I've ever read a sex scene that doesn't make me cringe.

I must be easily pleased...
A bit of smut surely brightens up any book for me

Not for me
I loved "Weaveworld" to bits, and "The Great and Secret Show" to a lesser degree, and was a huge Barker fan at the time, but I really didn't enjoy "Imajica". Tried it four times and the furthest I got was about half way through it but it left me completely cold. I eventually gave it away to another Barker fan who also didn't finish it.

I constantly read the title as
Jamaica. As far as I am aware its the only case I can find in my life, where this happens. I am concerned that it may not be the only one.
