Rising all the time?If Labour hadn't done so badly, Clegg would have been out of a job. The Lib Dems lost five seats, lost a twelfth of their seats at a time of record popularity and visibility for them. He would have had to resign as leader, Vince Cable would have taken over and the country would have a different Government in power.
As it is, having lost so many seats and wangling his way to a coalition place he's (ironically enough) fucked them at the ballot box for a generation.
