How about a version of b3ta optimised for mobile devices?
A cut down version of /board and /talk, that only showed the five or so most recent threads. And didn't try and stretch the page at all. And stuff like that. /Talk is usually far too big to fit even into my smartphone browser, which is irritating if I want to lurk on the way home or something.

i was just going to add this.
I have a blackberry pearl and it has to load to much for the whole /talk board. Would be nice to pick how many threads you want and a way to tell what is a new thread and what is a reply to what since my phone has text wrapping. It all goes to the left. I lurk a lot and can't keep up ha ha

Try using Opera Mini
mini.opera.com
Java app which compresses pages and splits them up so loading time is much shorter and, if you're paying per kB, cheaper too.
