I can't edit the subject of my post on /links
treid several times, but it keeps reverteing back to the original

That's because
The software creates a URL to your post using the title.
For example, this post on /links:
www.b3ta.com/links/10_amusing_or_interesting_things_sold_on_eBay

True as that may be
It's technically possible to make it editable. Would probably require updating two rows in the database instead of one.

This does not hold true for replies to links
which also exhibit this problem, but do not rely on a static title
