My mum told me to stand up to bullies. So I did, and got wedgied every day for a month. I hated my boss.

...the relative concerned was an A&E/ED nurse and was having trouble dealing with a couple of particularly traumatic deaths involving children. The bully was a senior nurse who felt that my relative wasn't "tough enough" to be an emergency nurse and afforded him no consideration and a lot of harassment.
The problem is that as my relative is now deceased there is no one to formalise a complaint against the senior nurse - such are the guidelines of a government department.
I see similar bullying in my workplace - but it's often done under the pretense of "we're really concerned as to how you're going" with some snide, but carefully phrased, jibes thrown in.
Passive bullying I guess?

without looking like the instigator.
I'd still say this senior nurse needs to be torn apart in front of his (her?) mates. That sort of shit is unforgiveable.
Good luck.
