We've had questions about lies and liars in the past, but this time we're asking about the sort of fantasist who constantly claims they've got a helicopter in the garden or was "second onto the balcony at the Iranian Embassy siege". The point is
That the word gift is a noun and not a verb, so it should not be used as such. And don't give me that tired line about language evolving; that's just an excuse people use for speaking bad English.
