I'd say it's kind of plausableI had a frightening one where a customer was transferred to the 'Portsmouth' department. I got on well with him, sorted out his problem, and he asked me my name for future reference. 'Sam', I said, 'I'm the only Sam here' (so he didn't ask my surname).
Stupid to say that, because he lived in Havant, and on my lunch break there was some guy outside asking every girl if they were 'Sam'.
I hope it's a coincidence.
