Genuinely can't remember where the bass player was from - but I don't think it was AC/DC. Tbh the thing that finally convinced me the guitarist was from Iron Maiden was listening to some of their stuff when I got home - the style was exactly the same.

Surely you would have noticed
that the singer was Bruce Dickinson, he's got a pretty distinctive voice.
edit - Oh I see, sorry I read it as you removed the name of the bass players band because he might be annoyed at you spreading this around, but you mean the name of the "supergroup".
That makes a lot more sense now.
