I'm glad it works for you, but if a guy said any of those things to me, I'd automatically assume one of three things:

One. He's joking.
Two. He's the cheesiest cheesefest in the world.
Three. He's greeeasy and to be avoided as he only wants in your pants.

Compliments have to be sincere and realistic! If you told me that strobe clublights made my eyes look like starlight, I'd tell you to be on your way to Specsavers to get tested for glaucoma.

Which is why when a girl laughs at your cheezy chatup line it doesn't necessarily mean she's laughing _at_ you, she may well be really really hoping that you're joking and is laughing _with_ you. A good clue is whether she walks away or not :)
