having spent 10 years working in an operating theatreallow me to say, the answer is yes, yes it can. the stuff that is alcohol mixed with KY is slightly harder to light, but burns for much much longer than the liquid stuff :D

Coooooooooool.So does this mean that operations'd take less time but for the fact that the medical staff are easily distracted by the availability of things to burn?
If so, my admiration for the NHS has just increased massively. I like surgeons with a sense of fun.
