Rather macabreMy 6th form Chemistry Teacher (Dr.Roger Partington)'s daughter was murdered by Fred West. Roger taught us happily for years and never revealed this- it was only after her body was found (and after I'd left 6th form) that we found out. Poor soul must have been plagued by nightmares for years, not knowing what happened to her.
