I don't understand the attractionSmaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Ugly BettyI do not understand how it's a comedy, there are no jokes, and you cannot connect with any of the characters. Unfunny unless your level of humour is 'Betty falls over' or 'Betty walks into something'. I tried the first episode, didn't like it, but in the interest of fairness I tried it again a few weeks later, and it was somehow even worse. Please feel free to challenge me on this and explain how Ugly Betty is worth watching, because I just don't understand why anyone would think it is.

WellThat goes for about 95% of American Sitcoms (and about 70% of British ones too). They all rely on too much slapstick cause its easier to write that than actual humor

Yep.A sad fact that on Saturday nights Only Fools episodes from 30 years ago are the best thing to watch out of 30+ channels.
