This is a question I don't understand the attraction

Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Twilight.
Just... ARGH!!! It angers me. Literally ALL of my friends are obsessed with it and Edward fucking Cullen.

They all see the abusive bastard as the "perfect man".

And vampires DON'T FUCKING SPARKLE. And now they've all drifted on to read stuff like Anne Rice and watch things like Hellsing and MOAN that it's not as "lovely as Twilight".

It makes me want to stab puppies.

I liked some of Anne Rice's books, they had a sort of sensuality to them. Twilight is poisonous at best. At worse it's conditioning young girls to endure abusive relationships, and it bothers me for personal reasons..

How the fuck is taking the engine out of her car romantic? Telling her who she can and can't hang around with? "I must leave you because I am dangerous and might eat you."

I weep for the teenage girls who are lapping up this shit, I really do.

Also, Edward Cullen is not hot, and vampires do not fucking sparkle. Seriously, Stephenie Meyer should be shot.

Should be burned atop a pile of all the Twilight books ever written. My hatred for those books and that woman knows no bounds. As does my contempt for anyone who says that the books are the "Best thing evar!" Grrrrr.
