My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

Swallow it.Definitely. At least then you are not sharing your germs even further. And your stomach's acids make short work of said germs (so I've been told). Sniff'n'swallow.
