My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

.I like 'tomfoolery'. I also like 'twilight' and 'hooplah'. Lets bring back good words from the past! My flatmate refered to dusk as 'the gloaming' the other day, which makes it sound much more interesting!
