My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

Yep,Even though I have a love of Rock & Heavy Metal (and all of its sub-genres), I love classical music.
I don't rate the operatic stuff that much though.
I think what you appreciate about it, is the fact that it's played by tanlented musicians, unlike the awful atonal drivel that is modern day "popular music" (sic).
