My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

it's not the scouse accent, as suchit's the idiots who blow the accent out of all proportion, making them sound like kerry katona on smack. i've lived in liverpool my entire life, but there are plenty of people i know who i'd dearly love to throttle every time they open their mouths.
oh, and when i leave liverpool, most people ask me what part of wales i'm from.
excessive amounts of gold jewellery is just tacky. it cheapens whoever wears it and makes them look like a pretentious fool. a single gold ring or simple necklace is so much more elegant.
