My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

I agree with most of thosehowever some people like myself are allergic to chlorine and therefore need to use shampoo and soap in the swimming pool shower as by the time they get home are red raw and itching like crazy. If they're doing it before they get in, however, I think I would just leave.
