My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

Good point...Also, I rent my home, because I could get a 15th century coaching in on a private estate (i.e part of the manor house's land) with four bedrooms for what a mortgage on a two-bedroom semi was. Having said that, we're only still renting at the moment as we can get the landlord to fix the wiring, etc, at their cost. We're aiming to buy the place in the next year or so.
