My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

overheard recently...two young chavettes, in full uniform - scrapeback ponytail, track suit, sovereign rings, both pushing prams - as I walked past I heard one say to the other -
"awww...............................is he swearing yet?"
