My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

My touched (and adopted) home townAlthough Amble is a lot less like the wild west these days, the chav scum really let us down - please note that this winter its Rockport shoes with trackie bottoms tucked into white sports socks. And as its cold a Helly Hansen jacket - the sort that if it looked at going to sea it would fall apart. The above is essential uniform for both lads and lasses when hanging around outside the Pizza shop (see also Co-Op Post Office, Caravan Site etc)
