ComplainingI like writing letters of complaint to companies containing the words "premier league muppetry", if only to give the poor office workers a good laugh on an otherwise dull day. Have you ever complained? Did it work?

My dear oldmother was subject to similar. She had a nominal topup card bought for 20 quid - all seemed well so the guys go on to spend more, 200 quid on body building supplements! The flag to the bank though, was an on line Dominos pizza to be delivered to their address... card stopped, transaction refused, but to their credit all monies were returned within 2 or 3 weeks. Not the sort of sum you ever want to just lose, not the sort of sum I could be without for a few weeks, but all in all they were quick courteous and efficient.
So I suggest you go into branch, speak to a real human and get them to help you resolve the situation. It will work. The banks get their money back from the retailers at the end of the day.
