true storymy mate was driving around Belper on a group holiday and someone in the back poked a cap gun (not loaded) at an old lady and said (not even shouted) "pow pow".
cue actual police hunt involving several cars and a helicopter looking for a citroen xantia that was driving around at "high speeds"(seriously man it was a knackered diesel) and firing guns at will.
his poor mother back home had a visit from the police as they had traced the reg plate, she rang him up and told him off for being silly.... police visited the house they stayed at, took "firearm" off them and gave them all a lecture on behaving themselves
