This is a question Complaining

I like writing letters of complaint to companies containing the words "premier league muppetry", if only to give the poor office workers a good laugh on an otherwise dull day. Have you ever complained? Did it work?

Dear all electrical retailers in the United Kingdom,
This may be a bit much to ask, but could you possibly check the plugs on equipment before you sell them, as I happen to live in England and not Spain. Over the years I have bought a CD player, VCR and an amplifier which have been fitted with those two pronged Spanish moulded monstrosities*.

Ta very much, Saddo

Heh I wish
all items were bought in Britain, (*edit* probably) bought from Spain by Curry's, Comet and the other I can't remember.

Why Spanish?
Isn't the traditional European place to slag off Brussels, or our neighbours France?
Heck, to be more up to date you could say Polish or Lithuanian?
Sorry, just my way of saying that most of Europe uses those "Spanish" plugs (but I admit I don't recall if Poland does and didn't check Lithuania).

But Britain doesn't
and given that he's buying from a British store, you'd think it'd come with British plugs on, no?

I agree with him about the plugs.
But I was wondering why the Spanish got the blame.

Spanish plugs
are the one's I'm most familiar with e.g. been to Spain. Didn't know about the rest of Europe using the same.

Yup, they do.
You are right to complain of course, as you know, I just thought I ought to mention that those plugs are used in much of Europe -- the UK is very odd when it comes to electricals.

Cheers
for the info.
