This is a question The B3TA Confessional

With the Pope about to visit the UK, what better time to unburden yourself of anything that's weighing on your mind by posting it on the internet? Pay particular attention to the Seven Deadly Sins of lust, greed, envy, pride, posting puns on the QOTW board and the other ones. Top story gets to kneel before His Holiness's noodly appendage, or something

So.....
usually it's remembering an amusing incident with some connection to a specific theme which results in my total humiliation and tell ninety-odd thousand people about it thus opening myself up for random abuse ranging from how stupid I am based on that alone to abuse about my grammar and spelling and how I decribe the incident.

This week however it's remembering an amusing incident which results in my total humiliation and tell ninety-odd thousand people about it thus opening myself up for random abuse ranging from how stupid I am based on that alone to abuse about my grammar and spelling and how I decribe the incident, but without a connection to a specific theme, anything at all, just tell us what a twat you are.

Am I the only one wondering why we fall for it week after week? After week? After week? After week? After week? After week?

You reckon
90,000 people read QOTW?

I'd love to know some stats on how many clicks are given out in a week, or how many clicks the best story gets in a week etc.

You are user eighty-odd thousand give or take....
and you joined over a year ago, so there's probably that many users there or thereabouts. Nonetheless it's still a huge number of people to confess to.

And yes I'd like click stats, even if it's just to know how popular and accepted I am (which seemed to be going OK until Mr Grumpy Pineapple Pants decided I'm an arse)

beyond
the fact that was almost totally unreadable, why do people feel the need to gnash their teeth at the simple idea of QOTW?

If you don't like it, don't read it. Definitely don't post to it, and above all else, if you must break those two simple remedies, post something other than a complaint about it.

Not complaining about it at all...
I've defended QOTW rigorously in the past, for example here and here , my point is that whilst a specific subject finds people happy to let the world know what complete buffoons they can be within a given theme, and there's no shortage of takers by all accounts, there is no other social situation where people are not only willing, but in fact pretty keen to let such a large number of (generally) strangers privy to what has happened to their genitals or waste products.

So to have a question inviting us to confess everything, anything at all is pandering to a lowest common denominator, which again I stress I'm not complaining about at all. It's a brill place to be, but after such an eclectic mix of wierd and wonderful tales and consequences one wonders quite why we are so enthusiastic to tell the world "You know I've already told you what a tosspot I am, well I've got this story about being caught having wank at the Queens Garden Party, let's see if you respect me more when I tell you this.....".

As I say, no complaints, even I thought when I read it "What can I post...."

I don't 'fall for' anything.
I like posting here. Beethreeteeay is a great place to expose yourself. As it were.

Do you mean 'describe' ?
Spelling and resulting copy and paste fail if you do.
Not that I care.

ooh, the irony..

If you want to be pedantic......
which as you are on here I'd be surprised if you don't, then no, I don't mean describe. If however you meant to say "do you mean describING", I assume you mean in place of "remembering", then the answer would be no, I meant remembering. If however you are suggesting that the word "describing" would be a better word to use than "remembering" then possibly, I would say that would be slightly (although not a huge amount) more accurate, although either one generally expresses my intent.

On a lighter note I would like to confess I am spectacularly verbose and defensive, and describing is clearly a far better and more accurate verb for the purpose than remembering, so whilst I accept that you have stolen all of my win and left all of your fail in it's place, it isn't fair and I'm taking my ball home.

I think it's more to do with the last word in your first paragraph - 'decribe'

But you are right 'remembering' is a nice word.

Ooh bugger......
*immediately disengages smug mode*

Didn't see that, fair enough.

*checks*

*sees mis-spelling/misspelling in both paragraphs*
