The B3TA Confessional
With the Pope about to visit the UK, what better time to unburden yourself of anything that's weighing on your mind by posting it on the internet? Pay particular attention to the Seven Deadly Sins of lust, greed, envy, pride, posting puns on the QOTW board and the other ones. Top story gets to kneel before His Holiness's noodly appendage, or something

I was there September 2004-September 2005
I know exactly how you felt, although I never felt bad about claiming dole. I'd paid enough National Insurance before that for probably several years dole and more since.
On a vaguely related note, I got the laid off (more of an honourable discharge really) only six months after taking out a Bank loan. I'd taken out payment protection at the cost of £500, which (after far too much hassle) covered my payments of £100 a month for six months, then the bastards pulled the plug.
It amazes me how I managed to save just £100 each month, the dole only paid out about £40 a week at that time. Tough times.
