Conned
swiftyisNOTevil writes, "I have recently become obsessed with the BBC Three show 'The Real Hustle' - personally, I think of it as a 'How To' show for aspiring con artists."
Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

Well and truly conned, no comeback whatsoever
How?
Simple, I put £20 worth of petrol in my car this morning.
A whopping £6.00 goes to Esso, the greedy, moneygrabbing amoral oil company who are so often pilloried for profiteering.
The rest went to a certain Scottish gentleman who I didn't vote for. Even if I had voted for him, it wouldn't have been for him to rape my wallet in return for fuck all. Yet I've got to wait until 2009 before I can do anything about it and even then I'll get to choose between him and two other cunts who are all going to rape my wallet to similar degrees.
Naturally, this £14.00 surcharge is to discourage me from using my car and lower my carbon footprint and Global Warming is even more of a threat to civillisation than terrorism.
So why the blue fuck are the cunts lobbying for a new runway at Stansted Airport?
A second runway is as much use to my journey to work as a second arsehole, plus the carbon emissions of one jetplane flying to the states are greater than I'll produce in a lifetime of driving to work.
If Watchdog was ever allowed to investigate the bunch of robbing cunts in office, they'd have a field day.

A second arsehole
would cut my shitting time in half.
This is relevant to my interests.

Here here!!
I'm sick to the back teeth of carbon fucking footprints. Fair enough, I reckon we are a load of resource wasting fuckers, but I can't stand the way they bang on about carbon all the time (it's because it's the best way to rob us - more).
I read that the worlds volcanos emit 50x as much CO2 each year than the entire global populace!?!?!
I'm driving everywhere I possibly can - fuck 'em.

Woohoo! PJM gets political
I'd take Global Warming a lot more seriously if there were fewer transatlantic flights and MPs cars were swapped from V8 Jaguars to Nissan Micras - or better still, they were made to hitchhike to work.
Plus Al Gore has won a $1m Nobel Prize for lecturing the world about global warming by flying in a jumbo fucking jet all over the world to tell everyone not to burn so much fossil fuel.
What a monumental, sanctimonious cunt.

Gordan Brown
I love Gordan Brown's new pledge of making motorways better, whats the use if nobody can actually afford to own a car anymore??? It all seems a bit backwards.

very true
not to mention the fact that if i turn up to the train station to buy a return ticket from Brum to London it costs £123 before 9AM.
Yet I can drive there and back for about £70 and that includes petrol, congestion charge and parking right where I need to be, not to mention the fact I can take three mates and split the cost 4 ways...

Who gives a fuck about carbon footprints/global warming?
It's a natural phenomena for fuck's sake, and man are only responsible for 3% of it!
I drive my car as much as possible. I eat meat. I fly. I heat up the globe a bit.
It's bullsit designed to raise taxes while appearing to care. It's a fucking con, and it gets on my tits something rotten.
If you're that arsed about global warming top yourself and stop producing so much hot air you lefty, sandal wearing twats.
Honestly!
And as a post script - why do Scottish MP's vote on English issues when ours don't vote on theirs, and why do our taxes fund their policies?
And why was that twat Brown near the England rugby game - he's a haggis muncher!
Gah.

All This^^^
I've just sent this in as comment to an article in New Scientist about Biofuel:-
Last century when we were keen to preserve the planet for our children and fairness and social justice was to be aspired to we were shocked at the rate at which the Amazon was being deforested. Now however in the greedy, carbon trading, "look after number one" global warming hysteria of C21 we find it good that the Amazon is being cut down to keep us in our 4x4's and hopefully the Congo will go the same way too! Perhaps there will be enough "left over" for us poor Europeans, afer all Africa has always put feeding it's own population before supplying us with sugar.
I find the attitude of your periodical on this matter sad.

re: volcanoes
I heard that in a year volcanoes put out more CO2 than the whole of human industrial history
if that is even near being true then the whole concentration on the CO2 issue is bollocks
I don't mind the sensible idea of using what we have carefully, but it should be done for the sake of it, not because everyone is terrified about adding a tiny amount to an already abundant gas

Cynicism - PJM and a bit o' politics
Well, we can't deny that average temperatures appear to be increasing. However, the powers-that-wank-in-our-faces have decided that they can play on the general public's guilt and tax people trying to travel to work under the justification that you're a complete pariah just because you drive a car. Meanwhile, international air travel isn't even allowed to be included in our "official" CO2 emissions statistics.
You can't miss the fuck off 747s belching CO2, consuming scarce and expensive hydrocarbons by the tonne and carrying people to far flung destinations from the nations' airports, no? Well according to government stats, they don't exist. The CO2 emissions published for aviation are those for domestic flights only.
We now have a convenient excuse to tax the bejesus out of the public thanks to so many ill informed self righteous moral crusaders (ie those who will bore the shit out of you waffling on about their Toyota Prius, but who regularly fly to the states twice a year). The government doesn't even have to write their own propaganda.
We, ladies and gentlemen are being fucking rogered royally and it's only going to get worse.

Cars
Fucking sweaty-sock wanker Gordon Brown and his strange-eyebrowed porridge eating puppet at the Treasury, fuck them both. And the rest of their goal-post destroying chums. They won't think it's so good to be bumraping England when we turf them out and put Passport control at Carlisle.
And he really should leave cars alone. I mean, have you ever tried dogging in a fucking train???
