Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

I agree
sort of. They're not better off for being homeless, but since just about any lazy fuckwit can get a council house nowadays then being homeless must be either a) a choice or b) an indirect result of other related choices (no one makes you take drugs, for example, so if you end up homeless because of it then serves you right).
And there are plenty of jobs that pay less than state benefit - so long as you can squeeze out a couple of knife-wielding coke-fiend kids you're quids in.
