This is a question Conned

swiftyisNOTevil writes, "I have recently become obsessed with the BBC Three show 'The Real Hustle' - personally, I think of it as a 'How To' show for aspiring con artists."

Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

Morality
"Act that your principle of action might safely be made a law for the whole world."
-Immanuel Kant

I hate to be moral on b3ta, but reading stories about 'how to rip people off', then in turn reading stories about people BEING ripped off spurs me to use this forum for some kind of enlightenment.

Utter Kant
That makes Kant's position seem weaker than it is: the FUL's criterion for the permissibility of a maxim is that its universalisation should be coherent, not just safe.

But nice to see ol' Immanuel cited here all the same. And nice to see you sneaking the "ð" into English on your profile: I've been wanting that reintroduced for ages.
