The trouble isnow there's Christian conspiracy theorists saying that UFO's and aliens are just manifestations of the endtimes of Satan and these are all demonic.
So if we have been visited and they went public now they'd run the risk of some Westboro Baptist nutjob taking potshots at any alien vessels that appeared with his AK-47.
