I used to work for web agency and we did the Greenpeace website
there was this chap who used to send me photos of the actions put live. I'd chat to him a bit on email.

Then one day he was on the front page of the newspapers for buying a stolen nuclear weapon. He'd done it as a stunt. I think he got right up to the bit where you'd hand the money over and then shopped it all to the papers.

His point was that there's an international criminal market of nuclear weapons and anyone can get one if you pay the price. Anyone. Even a bloke working in an office in North London.

The story was big for a day then seemed to die. But I often think back to that and it chills me. Especially when politicians bang the war drum saying X has these weapons we must get them, when surely anyone who wants them already has them.

Or maybe this Greenpeace bloke was swindled and was about to buy a broken car radio or something. Dunno.

Interesting
I know this is uber-conspiratoi (not even a word I know) but I heard some nukes went missing from an American air base a few years ago, also let's not forget that we only have approximate figures of the disarmed nukes from the cold war.

The term is 'loose nukes'

Scary premise.

The phrase "I heard", probably followed by "right"
pretty much invalidates anything that comes after it.
