I do work for "them" - the tentacles of global capitalism reach us all. Although my role, isn't collecting information about you, more a bit of distraction. Orwell called it "prolefeed" but what he didn't guess was that the production would be outsourced away from the state, paid for by advertising and kept dumb by the rules of the market.
