Some mugs still think the MMR injection gives children autism (it doesn't), while others are of the belief that we're ruled by billionaire lizard people. Tell us about views outside the mainstream which people go glassy eyed if you bang on about them (Your grandad's a racist - no need to tell us, thanks)

Not vegetarianism, and certainly not veganism.

Did our available food predispose us to evolving a physiology capable of omnivoury? Were our ancestors' vegetables too well hidden?
Chicken and egg innit?

What most people eat these days is very different from what our physiology predisposes us to.
For a start, there's highly-processed meat, from dodgily-raised animals preloaded with antibiotics and artificial hormones. We didn't evolve to eat that.
We're not naturally disposed to digesting grains, dairy foods or refined fats and sugars either. Eating all this stuff makes us unhealthy.
If a vegetarian or vegan ate chips and pizza every day then they'd be just as fat and disease-ridden as anyone else. I suspect that very few do, though.
