This lady was obviously brought up wrong if she can't say thank you to someone being polite.I actually really like it when people are all old fashioned like that. I hold the door open for other people too, but if someone does it for me, I always say thank you and smile. It's a nice courtesy to open the door for someone else, and just saying thank you is the correct response!
