The thing that I don't get is...... that surely society has evolved where now women can ALSO open doors for other people rather than they do not need a man to do it for themselves. Whereas "before" if a man and a woman were walking along and reached a door the woman would wait for the man to hold it open for her thus allowing her to go through first. Now whoever is closest to the door handle does it.
In fact that lady was just being sexist.
