Corporate Idiocy
Comedian Al Murray recounts a run-in with industrial-scale stupidity: "Car insurance company rang, without having sent me a renewal letter, asking for money. Made them answer security questions." In the same vein, tell us your stories about pointless paperwork and corporate quarter-wits

I know your pain...
Sometimes your brain just out-right decides to "issue" someone with a name and will brook no argument. I've had it myself.
Years back I worked with a group that included a lady called Tania.
Tania was cool, and easy going, Tania was real joy to work with...
Only her parents had Christned her Hannah. She was not, and never had been, ever called Tania.
For some reason my brain REFUSED to accept this, I would walk into work and greet her with "Hi Tania...oh sorry Hannah" And spend the rest of the shift doing this...
It might have been funny at first, but after a while you could see she thought was a bit annoying of me (and hell I KNEW this) I cringed inwardly everytime I did it. But I just couldn't get her name to stick, If I need to speak to her I would almost audibly say to my self Hannah, she's called Hannah, remember it's Hannah" Oh hi Tania could you.... I'm pretty sure she began to think it was something malicious on my part.
And to this day I never have worked out why.
