I actually thought the same, although without the "going in Dry" line.. and only as in "she's turning into a beautiful self-possessed talented young woman" rather than wanting to interfere with her... maybe in a couple more years...

As for the make up, it's not so much youth (although that's the case for the face creams to be sure) Make up, with the flushed skin, sparkly eyes and red lips is more to mimic the effects of sexual arousal than youth..
