Hotel Splendido
Enzyme writes, "what about awful hotels, B&Bs, or friends' houses where you've had no choice but to stay the night?"
What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?
Add your crappy hotel experiences to our list.

Hotels in Stratford
No idea. I only lived there for 22 years...
The little B&Bs are ok, some better than others I'm told (although as a note if it looks scary/dirty/crap) on the outside I guarentee the inside looks 10x worse.
If you want something posh and romantic go to Alveston Manor which is slightly further away from the theatre. If you want somewhere closer then try the Swans Nest.
Also the actors usually go and drink in 'The Dirty Duck' after the performance so if the good lady wants to see the doctor in normal surroundings I'd try there ;)
Bon Chance!
