It was based on Paul Jennings' short stories.I loved this show, though they were based upon many many short stories that were designed to be a bit weird or creepy, aimed at kids, and thus had to squash or adapt things often to fit the events around one family. I think the lighthouse may have been knocked down a few years ago,IIRC.
