I took it a bit differentlyMy reading was that the WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months at least. The health benefits to the child of breastfeeding beyond 24 months seem to relate to hygiene issues - access to clean water and food. And when I referred to eating solids I meant well beyond the gradual introduction of pureed foods at around 6 months, I did mean around 24 months give or take 6 months or so.
