What Makes You Cry?
That bit in the Railway Children when Jenny Agutter says "Daddy! My Daddy!". Gets me every time. I am 48 years old.

Aw, I don't think Snyder did such a bad job
I did Watchmen in a book club years back and almost everyone else was confused as to where the giant space octopus came from at the end, so I understand why they changed that, but I thought apart from that it was pretty faithful. It's a lot better than V For Vendetta in that respect.

I wish they'd given it to Terry Gilliam, and let him make it into a TV series.
It's over of those films that probably works better if you're ignorant of the source material, but Zack Snyder strikes me as a talentless twit who'd fuck up any project he's given.

See I wanted V For Vendetta to be a TV series, like maybe six hour-long episodes
It really works if you structure it that way (and don't update it into the 20th Century but keep it as alternate-80s piece). As for Snyder, I think that of the slew of classic horror remakes that have been made in the past ten years, only his Dawn of the Dead was worth watching. He's not clueless as a director and while Watchmen has it's faults it's not a terrible movie. Then again I tried to watch the Ultimate Edition with the re-inserted Black Freighter stuff and it was a bit of a struggle to maintain my interest for five hours or so.
Edit - though it goes without saying I would always have preferred Gilliam.

The only Snyder films I've seen are Watchmen and 300.
I think Watchmen was doomed from the start, whilst 300 was awful on every level (Frank Miller undoubtedly deserves much of the blame, for that). I've only seen a little bit of his DotD (the little girl going for her parents), which seemed OK, but I couldn't be bothered with a remake of a film I'd already seen many times before.
I'll undermine me credibility as any sort of Alan Moore fanboy by confessing that I rather enjoyed LXG.
