This is a question Customers from Hell

The customer is always right. And yet, as 'listentomyopinion' writes, this is utter bollocks.

Tell us of the customers who were wrong, wrong, wrong but you still had to smile at (if only to take their money.)

Retail and Therapy
Ah the joys of working in retail. Combining the skills of psychiatric analysis, confidence trickery and kick-boxing to ensure maximum turnover and minimum physical abuse.

I worked in a cool independent record shop in the olden days when there were record shops. They've all been replaced now by a combination of itunes and drop-in centres for lonely disfunctional single men.

A few of our choice punters...

The man who had bought a Bob Dylan record 8 years previously and wanted his money back "Because he had gone deaf"

The charming punter who tried to push me out of the way of the record racks while I was trying to stop an epileptic swallowing his own tongue.

"Mr Licky-Licky" A freak who would lick the covers of CDs he liked.

The Jazz Cunt. The name says it all.

Jazz Cunt
if you think about it the name doesn't say it all. it says he or she was a cunt.

it doesn't say why, or anything particularly interesting.

like people saying "blah-de-blah. nuff said" that's not a story worth telling. Flesh it out, or don't bother.

Tell me more
about The Jazz Cunt.

Fair enough.

The Jazz Cunt knew everything and everyone. He would browse through the Jazz CD's with an air of horrific superiority, telling all around him, whether they cared or not, exactly what constituted good music, and that everyone else was a talentless charlatan.

Yes he really used the word charlatan.

However, he could have only been in his early 20's, wore a polo neck(!) and actually knew next to fuck all about anything.

We once convinced him that there was a great 'lost' Quincy Jones soundtrack to an unreleased Walt Disney movie called 'Herbie goes to Harlem'

I knew exactly what you meant
As soon as I read "Jazz Cunt" I got a picture in my mind, and mentally rolled my eyes. It's one of those things that you either get or you don't.
