Customers from Hell
The customer is always right. And yet, as 'listentomyopinion' writes, this is utter bollocks.
Tell us of the customers who were wrong, wrong, wrong but you still had to smile at (if only to take their money.)

Keep your chin up.
I worked in the L/Spa McDonalds from 1993/97 and I agree with you. The staff were mostly a decent bunch of relatively intelligent people who were generally 6th formers, or working their way through university, or still figuring out what they actually wanted to do with themselves. Of course, there were a handful of fuckwits on a career trajectory that was almost certain to end in prison, or worse, and the usual McDonalds 'lifers' (store managers, franchisees, etc.)
Some (perhaps even most) of the customers were fine; they knew what they wanted, ordered without preamble, handed over their money in appropriate denominations, ate without taking all day about it, didn't spread their food all over the table / floors / wall / themselves / others, put their rubbish in the bin and then kindly fucked off leaving the place more or less as they found it.
The rest... Scum. No other word for them and natural selection will ensure their removal from the gene pool at some point.
These days I'm an astrophysicist, I have a PhD from Cambridge and I work for NASA. Never judge the spotty herbert under the hat!
Good luck for university and I hope you have a similar story to tell one day.
